Erick LindgrenErick Lindgren is a young world poker superstar, born on August 11, 1976 in Burney, California. He is often recognized by his playing nickname, "E-Dog." Growing up in Northern California, Erick was a passionate sportsman, apparently addicted to field competition. He made MVP playing as shooting guard for his basketball league team, whilst he also maintained a love of football, turning out regularly as an all league quarterback.Erick's move into a career in card games began when, still quite young, he took a job as a blackjack dealer in a local casino. He began to pick up tips and tricks from the players he dealt to, and developed more and more of a love for the playing side of cards. Soon, Erick's abilities had progressed to a point at which he could succeed professionally. Do you want instant cash bonuses; sign-up and reload bonuses? If so, BodogPoker is for you!! With several subsequent wins under his belt, including a $1 million top prize in WPT's Party Poker's Million Competition, Erick enjoyed a tremendous year in 2004, when he made WPT Player of the Year. Just ten months later, Erick took the title in his first World Poker Tour. Six short months following that victory, Erick took home the WPT PartyPoker Million III cruise, which translated into another $1 million prize fund. January 2005 in Atlantic City saw Erick take a great second place ranking in the World Series of Poker Circuit Event. The very next month, he ended up fifth overall in WPT's LA Poker Classic and topped the second annual Professional Poker Tour event, also held in Los Angeles. In January 2006, Erick made yet another final table at a WPT event, taking a good third place at the 2006 Borgata Winter Open. Erick Lindgren took another $600,000 to add to his expanding bankroll when, in June 2006, he won the first prize placing at the FullTiltPoker.net Poker Pro Showdown competition. Doing so meant that he had to outlast such great poker names like Clonie Gowen, Mike Matusow, John Juanda, Eric Seidel, Phil Ivey, and Chris Ferguson. By the end of the summer 2006, Erick's total career tournament winnings had far exceeded $4,700,000. In addition, when not busy winning big money at the poker tables, Erick very much enjoys playing basketball and golf.
