The ease of play and level of excitement injected into each game is what contributes to its popularity and learning how to play Texas Holdem Poker is not a difficult task. A fairly easy hand of poker to learn, Texas Holdem Poker is different because once you have the basic game of poker down there aren't a horde of new rules to learn in Texas Hold'em.

A group of up to 20 players is needed in Texas Holdem Poker, although you can certainly play with as little as two players. Two cards are dealt to each player, and after the first bet, a burn card is dealt and then three community cards. This initiates a second round of bets. The cycle begins from here as another burn card is dealt, then another community card and so forth. The last round is known as the showdown. Each player is simply trying to achieve the best possible hand in each betting round.

After this second better round, another card is dealt (another burn card) and then another community card and then another betting round is held. This is followed by one or two more betting rounds and then the showdown. This is the final hand of Texas Holdem Poker. There is no showdown if there is a clear winner, meaning one person clearly has the best hand and all others fold. However, if there are two players with equally winning hands, a showdown occurs. In this round, the best five of seven cards are played and whoever wins this hand, is the clear winner. However, if the better hand is again equal in the hands of both players, they split the win.
