Almost every Internet poker website allows people to play games for "fun" money, which means that you don't have to wager any money; you just play for points. Even though there are no real stakes in these games, people still tend to play to win, and you can learn a lot by watching other players and trying to predict what they might do in certain situations. When you play in "fun money" games, you can take more chances, which means that you can test out different strategies to see which ones work best. Many Internet poker websites also offer poker tournaments called "freerolls", where you don't have pay an entrance fee or bet any of your own money, but you can still win prize money if you finish on or near the top.
