Kirill Gerasimov
Kirill Gerasimov is a professional poker player from Russia. He was born in Moscow on the 5th of June 1971, but did not start entering poker tournaments professionally until 2001. In his early days, he was mentored by 'The Flying Dutchman', Marcel Luske, a professional poker player from Amsterdam. After rising to the top of professional poker himself, Gerasimov became the mentor for Yevgeny Kafelnikov - a former Russian tennis player, who went on to compete in the World Series of Poker in 2005.
Some say that Kirill Gerasimov looks like Matt Damon. He has won over $1,600,000 from poker tournaments to date.

Kirill Gerasimov has an impressive list of prizes to his name - he finished second in the World Poker tour Season one, taking a prize of over $500,000. He made his first of many final table appearances in the World Series of Poker in May 2003, and to date has had 14 'money finishes' in the World Series of Poker, as well as making the final table in the 2nd Season of European Poker Tour. He is well known for making one of the most amazing calls in World Series of Poker history, when he thought his opponent had checked, and he in turn checked and showed his opponent his hand. His opponent claimed he had not checked, and was allowed to bet. His opponent, having seen his hand, bet all in, and Gerasimov, sensing that this was a bluff, called and won the pot with his ten high hand.
