Michael Binger is a part-time professional poker player originally from Delray Beach, Florida. He is 29 years old and currently lives in Atherton, California. In June of 2006 he earned his PhD in physics from Stanford University. Michael entered the final table of the 2006 WSOP Main Event eighth in the chip count and managed to work his way up to place third which earned him a cool $4,123,310. This was his second year playing in the World Series of Poker. He also finished sixth at the 2006 WSOP Event #27 $1500 buy-in No-limit Texas Holdem tournament. After this amazing run in the 2006 WSOP he can now pursue his career ambitions as a theoretical physicist!
