Rank Poker HandsAre you interested in poker but you're unsure how to rank poker hands? This is an important part of playing, and hoping to win, the game of poker. Basically there are a few hands that you need to know in order to play any variation of the game. With the current popularity of poker, it seems that just about everyone could stand to learn how to rank poker hands.First, there is the Royal Flush. This is the best hand that you can have in poker. A flush includes the cards Ten, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace that are the entire same suit. Next, another powerful hand you will want to learn is the Straight Flush. The Straight Flush is a sequence of five cards that are all of the same suit. An example of a Straight Flush would be a 5, 6, 7, 8, and a 9 all the same suit. Another hand that you'll want to know is the Four of a Kind. This hand includes four cards that are of equal rank, such as queens from every suit. If you find yourself holding Four of a Kind, you're probably going to win the hand. Next, when learning how to rank hands you'll want to concentrate of the full house. A Full House includes three cards of an equal rank and two cards of a different rank. Put another way, a Full House consists of a three of a kind and a pair- 33377 is a Full House. You'll also want to consider a straight, which is five cards of mixed suits, in sequence. An example of a straight would be a 9, 10, Jack, Queen, and King, but all from different suits. You also have Three of a Kind, Two Pair, One Pair and finally High Card. Three of a Kind consists of any three cards of equal rank; a Two Pair includes two cards of equal rank and a separate set of cards of equal rank. One Pair is just that, one pair of equal ranking cards. All of this seems much more complicated than it is, but simply study and test yourself on this information as you learn how to rank poker hands.
