Texas Holdem Poker SoftwareClose on the heels of the famous Texas Holdem game, the Texas Holdem Poker software has caught on the fancy of many people. The game is as famous online as it is in casino card games. Here is how the game on the Texas Holdem Poker Software works. The betting limits are established for the game. The highest bet is normally double the size of the minimum bet. In this game, the player to the left of the dealer puts up the 'small blind' bet which is about one half of the minimum bet. The player to the left of the small blind puts the 'big blind' which is equal to the minimum bet. Replicating the real casino, there is a dealer button which identifies the dealer to be rotated to the left after each hand. You would need to download the Texas Holdem Poker Software. For $2-$4 stakes: The first online betting round commences with the player to the left of the big blind either putting in two dollars to "Call" the blind bet, or putting in four dollars to "raise" the big blind or folding his hand. The game goes around in a sequence until it arrives at the player who posted the small blind. That player can call the bet by putting in one dollar since a dollar bet was already posted. The last person to act is the big blind. If no one has raised the dealer will ask if they would like the option, to check or raise. There is usually max of three raises per betting round. Bodog wants you to win your seat to the 2011 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. Online qualifying events run from Monday, July 5th to Saturday, July 17th, with the Bodog Mini Poker Series Final Tournament happening on Thursday, July 22nd. See the full 2010 Bodog Mini Poker Series event schedule for more details. On completion of the first round the dealer will "burn" or discard the top card on the deck. This is done to make sure no one has got a glimpse of the top card. Three cards are dealt and turned face up on your computer screen. This is known as the "Flop". Following this round the dealer burns another card and turns a fourth card faces up in the middle of the table. This is sometimes referred to as the "Turn". Check out the entire 2010 WSOP Schedule! The last bet after the turn is now four dollars and begins again with the first active player to the left of the button. When this round is complete the dealer will burn another card and turn a fifth card face up. This is called the "river" or Fifth Street and the final betting round begins with four dollars being the minimum bet. To ascertain the winner, the players could use a blend of their two down cards and the five cards on the board to make the highest five card hand. There are instances where the best hand could be the five cards on board. In that case, the active players could split the pot. A sixth card is never used to break a tie.
