Day 5 began at Level 21 with 6K-12K blinds with a 2K ante. 135 players started the day off and play ended at 2:30 AM with 45 players remaining. Poker players still alive and thriving include chip leader Jamie Gold, Allen Cunningham, Humberto Brenes and Jeffrey Lisandro.

Players unfortunately eliminated on Day 5 included David Woo in 132nd place. Annie Duke went out in 88th place. She became short stacked after losing $400,000 in one hand and ended up going all in with A3. Jeff Lisandro called with 88 busting her out. Annie Duke received $51,129.
