Monday, August 7, 2006 is Day 6 of the $10,000 No Limit Texas Holdem Main Event #39. The day began with 45 players and finished with the 3 final tables (27 players)! The average chip count was about $2 million at the start of the day. By the end of Day 6 the average chip count was roughly $3.25 million. Jamie Gold continued to be the leader of the pack with $13,000,00 in chips! There are two star players still alive; Allen Cunningham and Jeffrey Lisandro.

Costa Rican Poker Pro Humberto Brenes was eliminated on Day 6 in 36th place. He was short stacked and attempted to steal the blinds and antes but ran into Ricki Nielson's pocket K's. Humberto won $329,865.
