The Ladies No-limit Texas Holdem Event #15 of the 2006 WSOP began on Sunday, July 9th. It was a two day tournament with a $1000 buy-in. 1,128 ladies showed up to play for a prize pool totaling $1,026,480. The top 101 players made the money round. A lot of celebrities played this year including; Ricki Lake, Mimi Rogers, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth and of course Jennifer Tilly, the 2005 reigning Champion. Mary Jones from Las Vegas, Nevada won her first WSOP Title, the Gold Bracelet and $236,094. Mary has been playing poker for less than three years. Good Job Mary! We will be seeing a lot more of Mary Jones, that's a guarantee!
