On Saturday, July 15 Omaha Hi-Lo Split event #24 of the 2006 WSOP began. 352 players entered 3 day event for a $3000 buy-in. The prize pool totaled $971,520 and top 37 players were paid out. Scott Clements from Mt. Vernon, Washington won the WSOP Gold Bracelet and $301,175. Poker Pro Phil Hellmuth finished in 6th place and Allen Cunningham placed 18th.
