2006 WSOP Event #28 Results and Highlights
On July 20th event #28 of the 2006 WSOP began. The Nation's Top Seven-Card Stud players came out for the $5000 buy-in event. 183 players squared off for a piece of the $855,400 prize pool. Only the top 16 players would make the money round. Benjamin Lin from Rockville, MD ultimately won his first WSOP Gold Bracelet and $256,620. Poker star Cyndy Violette finished in 3rd place. 'Miami' John Cernuto came in fifth, and Poker author Mike Caro ended in 8th place.
