Event #37 of the 2006 WSOP ended up being a massive No-limit Holdem tournament. 2,803 players signed up for the $1500 buy-in event. The top 272 players made it to the money round. James Gorham from San Diego, California won his first WSOP Gold Bracelet and $765,226. Poker Greats T.J. Cloutier, Phil Laak and Joe Awada made it to day two but could not make the final table.
