The $10,000 No-Limit Texas Holdem World Championship Main Event starts on Friday, July 28 and runs through till Thursday, August 10. It is hosted by the famous Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tournament begins at noon. It has a $10,000 buy-in. All players begin with $10,000 in tournament chips. And every level of play will be 120 minutes. Breaks will be after every round and dinner breaks will be at the discretion of the tournament director. 6% of the total entry pool will be withheld.
Joseph Hachem of Australia is the 2005 reigning Champion. He took home a prize of 7.5 million dollars.
