On August 8th event #44 of the 2006 WSOP began. It was set up as a 2-day No-limit Texas Holdem tournament with a $1500 buy-in. 481 players squared off for a piece of the $656,565 prize pool. The top 46 players would make the money round. Kevin Cover won his first WSOP Gold Bracelet and $196,968. Kevin is from Oyster Bay Cove, New York. Poker Pro Mel Judah finished in 23rd.
