Doug Kim - 22-year-old Poker Player

Doug Kim came in seventh place at the 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event. He won a cash prize worth $2,391,520. He was one of the thousands of players who qualified online for the big event. He won his seat at PokerStars.com at a $650 WSOP satellite tournament. This is Doug's first time ever to cash in a poker tournament.

Doug Kim is 22 year olds born in Yonkers, New York. He recently graduated from Duke University with a bachelor's degree in economics and is now a financial consultant living in Martsdale, New York. He learned to play poker while at school. He and his friends would play in a $100 buy-in $1/$1 No-Limit Holdem game. Most of the time the stakes would increase as the night would go on as other people would drop in as well, football players and other trash talking students.
